Kokrobitey Institute has a monthly Environmental Film festival for children in the Kokrobitey, Langma communities. The primary purpose of the film festival is to expose young people to the world.
Students learn about the different environments and the role climate change is having in todays world. The films offer a sense of adventure, incites curiosity and builds awareness of the natural environment – with special emphasis given to exploring Africa’s diverse landscape, history, intellectual and cultural contributions. Kokrobitey and Grow Ghana are also developing a festival manual making it easy for others to start film festivals in their communities .
